Licence training

Would you like to become an amateur radio operator?

Good choice – it is an amazing, useful and exciting hobby!

The activity of amateur radio operators is regulated by a number of international laws, and it is necessary to take an examination that allows one to practice this hobby worldwide.

Starting April 10, the JRC Radio Club, together with the Italian Amateur Radio Association of Varese, is holding a course to obtain an amateur radio license.

The purpose of the course is to prepare future radio amateurs to pass the ministerial examination by providing a basic knowledge of radio phenomena, the legislative regulations governing radio communications and the Amateur Radio Service, and the basic operating rules that an amateur radio operator must know.

No special requirements or knowledge are needed to participate in the courses; anyone can participate successfully.

Topics will be explained in a simple and comprehensive manner, as the course is also designed for those who have no knowledge of the subject. What is needed is commitment and passion. Anyone who takes the course seriously will be able to pass the theory exam.

The course, taught by our colleague Claudio Bergonzi (IK2YWN), is held mainly by videoconference on Wednesday evenings from about 9 to 10 pm. In addition, one day a month we meet in attendance to take stock together and some hands-on sessions on radios.

Don’t wait any longer! Fun is waiting for you!

We repeat, there is no special requirement to participate in the courses. You will have the support of the lecturer and all Club members. We are waiting for you!
