No Club membership is required, everybody is welcome! Join us at Sala Azalea – Ispra Club House, every Tuesday at 18.15.
Here are the upcoming talks:
12 novembre: “Fox hunting”! It is an exciting branch of amateur radio, a nature-friendly technical and sport activity, officially known as “Amateur Radio Direction Finding” (ARDF). The foxes in this sport are purely the allegorical kind with no fluff at all! Being popular among radio operators, it is open and suitable to anyone who may find satisfaction of putting together their radio receivers, and enjoy physical and mental exercising. Vita IU2TJL will unravel the secrets of this discipline and she will tell us about her latest competitions. Don’t miss this talk!
upcoming: Claudio IK2YWN will share all the details of the Radio Repeaters (DMR, UHF, VHF, etc) in the Varese area and their usage for public safety and civil protection!
These are the talks that have just been held:
29 ottobre 2024: Niels IU2THY gave us an amazing overview of Airplane Radio Communications, including a walk-through of a typical flight from Malpensa to Napoli. There’s plenty to cover, so this will probably be the first presentation of a series!
5 novembre: “Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Talking with the Space Station but Were Afraid to Ask” – an overview of how it’s usually done, and how we did it! Presented by Enrico IU2ROK!
